Our Society's Mission and Goals
Mission : To provide means of cooperation among all persons interested in the advancement of the comparative study of civilizations.

Vision : Civilizations matter.

Goal : To achieve scholarly recognition as the primary source of knowledge and wisdom on the comparative study of civilization.

Strategy : To organize an annual conference, at locations around the world, to gather scholarly leaders interested in the comparative study of civilizations; to publish the bi-annual, peer reviewed journal, Comparative Civilizations Review; to publish conference proceedings and an annual newsletter highlighting progress at ISCSC and in the field of comparative civilizational studies.

The International Society for the Comparative Study of Civilizations was founded in 1961 in Salzburg, Austria.
The ISCSC relocated its headquarters to the United States in 1970.
